anyone still use 'film'?

i ask this because looking around there are some amazing outfits for sale

got my local free ad paper this morning

for sale a Mamiya RB67 with various 'backs' and five lenses/flash/case/weston meter etc etc - £425 ono

I don't, but have been thinking more and more about taking my old Nikon. There always seems to be 'something' missing from digital shots that was there in all the old film shots of the captures that still inspire me now. Can't put my finger on it, but they just have more 'atmosphere'.

i still take my SLR on longer trips. the pics it gives are just amazing.

regardless of how many pixels a DSLR can capture, will they actually be able to keep up with the human eye? and at a realistic price.

nothing quite beats the sound and vibration of a 35mm camera shutter and film winding on!

Canon AE1-P with Fuji Superia 200 ASA film can't beat it the digital just seems like a toy to me.

This thread has got me thinking about getting out my SLR and having a dabble, but has the cost of film and processing gone through the roof ?

Boots usually sell Fuji on a 3 for 2 offer but at moment selling at £2.99 for 24exp 200 ASA. Processing £5.
Give a roll of film a go, you'll find you compose the shot better and end up with some quality pics.
