rigmarole hydrolink

Post by kathrynshubby on Thu Aug 16, 2012 4:44 pm

right, bought some, very impressed and can think of all sorts of rigs i WANT to tie, however some of them rely on breaking the fluorocarbon inner to form a hinge - note NOT pull a bit out and cut if off to leave a flaxible section, i want a stiff bit each side of the break

seen a video (foreign) on youtube where a guy basically doubles it over sharply, then teases the fluorocarbon through the bent bit, snips it, sorted....but for the life of me i can't get the doubled over fluoro to poke out of the sheath part....anyone done it? any tips??

and any useful links to good demos of this product?
cheers
Matt

The idea is to flatten the line as hard as you can and almost make a point out of the inner where you want it to break through then tease it through the outer skin and carefully cut it. It takes a bit of practice but it can be done mate.

This ^^^^^^. I was fishing with Les a couple of weeks ago, where he showed me how this works. Very clever how they've done it

Any problems just give me a pm Matt. Double it over, pinch it together , then pinch and push between thumb and forefinger. No nails need as I cut mine short lol
