If you fancy getting your hands on over £500.00 worth of top quality carp fishing tackle this weekend, get yourself down to the Northern Angling Show on Saturday & Sunday and visit Northwestcarp.co.uk on STAND 15 in the Carp Hall.

We're running a FREE TO ENTER competition on both days with a shed load of cracking prizes up for grabs. We've got one of the fantastic new Fox Supa Brollies to give away courtesy of Steve and the team at Hull Angling Centre, we've also got hundreds of pounds worth of tackle to give away from the likes of Pallatrax including their legendary Stonze systems, hooklinks and terminal tackle. We've also got loads of Covert end tackle from Gardner Tackle and tons of PVA and accessories from The PVA Shop!

The competition will be open to members and non-members alike, and will only take a few seconds to enter, so be sure to drop in and check out all the prizes up for grabs. We look forward to meeting up with as many Northern Monkeys as possible during what is sure to be the best angling show the north has ever seen!

The celebrity A-Team from the Carp, Match and Coarse world has been confirmed to appear at this the first ever Northern Angling Show - 23rd & 24th March at EventCity, Manchester.

Fishing guru and former decathlete Dean Macey, one of the biggest personalities in carp fishing, and Derek 'The Don' Ritchie will both be appearing over the two days.

TV personalities Matt Hayes and Ali Hamidi will also be there, along with many other angling celebrities, including the current world champion match angler, Sean Ashby.

Carp angling ambassadors, Julian Cundiff, Steve Briggs and Rob Hughes are also confirmed to make an appearance along with representatives from the specimen and predator scenes all offering advice and tips for fishing fans that visit the show.

Despite 43% of the UK's annual rod license sales coming from the North West a dedicated Angling Show has never been hosted before in the north for fans of the sport. Brands including Korda, Nash, Aqua, Trakker, Guru and Peg One will be showcasing the latest equipment and tackle.

The show is expected to attract over 10,000 visitors to experience the huge market place featuring show deals and bargains. There are also two dedicated halls - one for carp angling and one for coarse fishing fans. Both will have purpose built lakes to try out the latest tackle and an ice and wet room so that amateur and keen fishermen can test some of the latest gear from exhibitors in the harshest of conditions.

Angling seminars, rig and bait clinics and demonstrations will also feature as part of the weekend attraction. Jamie Clossick, respected angler, journalist and show Director said: "We're thrilled to be able to bring such an exciting Angling showcase to fans in the North. There is something for everyone happening over the two days and whether you're a regular angler or keen on building up your expertise and equipment it promises to be a very exciting two days."

Tickets are on sale priced at £10.00 for a daily ticket, or £15.00 for the weekend. Under 12s are free and there are concessions for under 16s attending with a valid rod license. The venue has over 10,000 free car parking spaces and sits right next to the Trafford Centre so it is easily accessible from all over the UK.

I look forward to seeing you all there!
