FREE SPIRIT RODS

Post by HAPPYANGLERALEX on Tue Nov 20, 2012 6:11 pm

Checking on other web sites and ebay, there does seem to be a steady supply of second hand high s free spirit rods for sale.

So, are they not as expected or has a smart alec got some copy's from china? Suspect

Well they are made in china anyway, only handles, reel seats and guides fitted in the UK.
IMO they are good rods but way overpriced when there are others out there that are better.

no free spirit blanks come fromChina. Why post something when you don't know what you're talking about ??
Free Spirit designs and develops all its own blanks so these are exclusive to us. We can supply these blanks and our own specially developed components to home builders who want to make their own rods. We use only the best materials available from Japan for the Hi-'S' and 'S' ranges and Korea for the other ranges and do not use any Chinese carbons as we believe the quality of material is not suitable for our production. In addition we have developed our own reel seats, guides, cork handles, EVA and fittings and are able to offer these

Japan and Korea not China he was almost right Very Happy anyway why not England? confused

And why is there a "fixed price ring" on these rods, as they are the same price where ever they are sold? Suspect

just who controls the selling price?

and yes they seem to be a lot of cash to buy. ie. £1,000+ for three, in a double dip recession.
