Whats your most extravagant purchase?

Post by Elty on Mon Nov 19, 2012 9:06 am

Thinking about buying something that would be a massive treat ot myself. Feeling quite guilty about it though. So wondering.....

Whats the most extravagant thing you have bought yourself and how did you manage to justify it?

being single i can justify anything i buy - lol

spending way over £10K on a plasma and audio system - still enjoy it - but 1year later it was 'out of date' - thats the problem with av you are always playing 'catch up' to the latest gear

tempted by the 'new' Range Rover - put a £1K deposit to secure an early car - can still buy the car and sell at a premium if i so desire

BUT

got an itch i need to scratch - 5.0l supercharged - with mods 600bhp

seen one with just under 30K miles - cheap (relative)- only problem is its black which i do not like

A new double barreled rifle, with swing on scope, set of 20 bore barrels in a fitted leather case. It had to go when I got threats from the Vat man a couple of years later. My new Ducati wasn't extravagant, it was one of life's necessities. Very Happy

I tend to buy stuff secondhand, so I can re-coup the money if I can't really afford it...

My worst habit of buying uneccessary stuff is my paintball kit. Currently at 8 markers, with associated sundries like hopper barrels and loaders!
