Rod Pods's or Bankstick's.

Post by norwich lad on Thu Oct 25, 2012 9:11 pm

After seeing other's comment on rod pods are better. what's your preffered way of setting the rod(s) up.

I have a dated fox frontier pod and have never used it (i bought it for barbel fishing off the mill pool concrete bank of my local river.then it was lost for ever to fishing) i alway's fish a bank stick set up with the rod pointing in the direction of the area to be fished. just preference. what do some of you like better sticks or a pod?

I prefer individual sticks because they are well anchored into the ground.
Also, I have had situations where an aggressive take can turn the buzzer bar, so again for that reason its got to be individual sticks Smile
This is just my opinion, there are many opinions like it but this one is mine Razz

It depends where I'm fishing.

If the swim has ground where I can get sticks into it then I use sticks, if I'm fishing a platform or the ground is extra hard I use a pod.

Sticks everytime, but a pod in the boot of the car, just in case !!!

Sometimes I just do away with the rests and sit on a toadstool holding the rod with my little gnome hat on like a few of the other anglers on Farnham Laughing
