Had 4 13 ft 2 3/4 akn's for a short time, they had 30mm butt rings and looked pants, thought about a complete rebuild with 40mm butts, but would've ended up costing too much

Thanks neil, i had a feeling the 116s was the only light rod they done. i have the wtc this was based on for layout of the akn blanks.

you could'nt by chance look at the amorphous tournament match rod(s) ? and tell me if they done a waggler general purpose rod. pls.

i have the awtm13s stick float supreme already. many thanks lee.

No probs mate.
The AWS12S is described as a "lightweight waggler rod" in the catalogue.
This might be worth a look if you can find one.

I think the differences between the four 13' rods is they just have different actions and power .

Cheers Neil.....

When I first got into carping, these were THE rods! The most expensive, and the best - who, in the early 90s, didn't want a set of AKN12H and SS3000s!

Finally got a set this year - 12' 2 1/4 AKNs - they live up to all my childhood dreams - light, slim, responsive and a joy to use - by far the best light rods I've ever owned.

I have a couple of 2lb tc WKNs that I use for my Big Rivers and Flood Water Barbel Fishing.

They have soften up a bit over the years, but still very good rods ?
